Known for bizarre news headlines and warm weather, the state of Florida has seen plenty of the latter so far this winter. While the rest of the nation literally freezes, the southern half of the Sunshine State is basking in the warmth, dodging cold fronts and chilly weather!
Over the past couple of weeks, as winter storms have been bearing down on everywhere from Maine to Colorado, South Florida temperatures were as much as 100 degrees warmer than the coldest spots in the nation!
Predictably, residents shivering in northern towns began to turn their eyes toward the red on the map, and as the 80-degree highs were forced further south, Florida stood strong in frustrating the rest of the country to no end.
It's not all sunshine and rainbows here, though. Weather forecasts overcast and rainy days with highs in the 60's, which is considered chilly here.
Thinking of relocating yet? Maybe you should. Everyone else is.
