Executives for the Miami Dolphins are hard at work trying to come up with a new proposal for much needed renovations at Sun Life Stadium.
Dolphins CEO Tom Garfinkel told the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce earlier this week that the team is working on a new strategy to get the upgrades completed, the Miami Herald reported. A revised plan would not include the major design changes to the $350 million project that was presented to the state legislature last year.
Stephen Ross, owner of the Miami Dolphins, attempted to get public funding for the stadium renovations last year. Though he received support from Miami-Dade commissioners for $289 million over 30 years from a proposed hotel bed tax increase, the Florida House of Representatives refused to even vote on the plan.
Maybe this year will shine a little brighter on our Dolphins attempts to bring the Super Bowl back to Miami!
