On New Years Day over 100,000 fans bundled up in -10 C weather to witness NHL's annual Winter Classic in which the Toronto Maple Leafs beat the Detroit Red Wings in a shootout. The final score was 3-2 pleasing the record breaking number of Canadians in the audience of attendees at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, or as some like to call it "The Big House" being that it is the largest stadium in North America. Snow fell heavily throughout the entire game, accompanied by strong winds, offering a rare spectacle in which players were challenged by the skill testing weather conditions that made the game both exciting and unpredictable. The imperfections of the game left the almost evenly split crowd of fans with a truly memorable Winter Classic experience.

Congrats Toronto!
