Florida's unemployment rate dropped significantly in 2013, according to a report from the Bureau of Labor and Statistics.
Unemployment for the Sunshine State dropped 1.6 percent last year, which is the second largest drop in unemployment in the nation behind Nevada.
The report shows that 25 states saw a substantial decrease in unemployment in 2013 compared to 2012. Those with the biggest were Nevada, which was down 1.7 percent, Florida, which was down 1.6 percent, and California, which was down 1.5 percent.
These three states suffered the most economically after the "real estate bust of 2008" due to widespread foreclosures and unemployment.
